I am a Black British contemporary fine art photographer based in Croydon, London. My practice draws on a lifelong passion for both fine art and photography, two disciplines I began formally exploring during A-levels and later developed through my BA in Photography at the University of Roehampton, where I graduated with First Class Honours in 2022.
Growing up in a large Nigerian family, I developed a deep appreciation for visual storytelling as a way to communicate nuance, emotion, and introspection. Photography became a powerful medium through which I could explore identity and perception beyond words. Over time, I have cultivated an experimental and tactile visual style that blends digital photography with sculptural, paper-based techniques. Using methods such as layering, cutting, and deconstruction, often with a scalpel knife, I manipulate photographic prints and painted surfaces to create fractured, distorted compositions that evoke disorder, ambiguity, and curiosity.
This process reflects my internal creative landscape while pushing at the boundaries between photography, painting, and collage. I approach all projects with an openness to experiment, collaborate, and evolve, traits that are central to my identity as an artist and image-maker.
