Recognising a face is instant and effortless. Faces tell us stories about people and carry huge significance in helping humans build and constitute trust between each other. Yet in ‘And You Are?  the subjects are presented as these evolved alien-like beings as their faces have been manipulated using paper sculpting techniques. This distorts our perception of human identity and prevents us from reading their faces; thus, prompting us to question and keep our distance from these familiar yet untrustworthy people.
